While Tupperware is one of the most beloved products in kitchens across the country, the one place where these containers are not welcome is at weddings. One bride from Pennsylvania took to Facebook to recollect a supposed situation at her own nuptials involving Tupperware and a rather thoughtless guest.
A particular bride got the shock of her life when one of her wedding guests packed 10 Tupperware containers with wedding food to take home and enjoy later.
Taking on Facebook the angry bride wrote, “My husband and I had a very small wedding ceremony and reception, probably about 25 people were invited. Only close family and a handful of friends.”
“I invited my dad’s BFF, so he’d have someone to socialise with, other than my mom, plus his friend has always been good to me”, she added.
Before the wedding, her dad’s “BFF” asked if he could bring along his daughter and her husband, to which the bride agreed.
But things got weirdly out of hand when the daughter showed up without the husband with 10 Tupperware containers to take home free food.
“We had a buffet style wedding and we had a cookie table. She loaded up seven containers with food to take home, took about three containers of homemade cookies, a couple of bottles of beer and most of the centrepieces”, the bride wrote.
The couple was so preoccupied with their loved ones the day of that they didn’t notice the bizarre behavior at the actual reception. It wasn’t until the father of the bride recalled the uncomfortable situation to his daughter the morning after the wedding.
“She loaded up 7 Tupperware containers with food to take home,” the bride revealed. “[She] took about 3 containers of homemade cookies, a couple of bottles of beers, and most [of] the centerpieces.”
The bride went on to express that the guest wasn’t poor or in need of food. In fact, to make matter worse, the newlyweds received a rather unnerving wedding gift from the supposed offender. “She gave us $5. Not even kidding. A five-dollar bill,” she continued.
