Is Chicago’s Mayor Calling For VIOLENCE Against The Supreme Court?

Uncategorized

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot encouraged violence on Monday in a tweet asserting the U.S. Supreme Court’s leaked opinion draft signaling the downfall of Roe v. Wade means the justices will come for the“LGBTQ+ community” next.

Lightfoot ratcheted up the hysteria among the Left with an overheated tweet.

Here’s what Mayor Lori Lightfoot, a Democrat in a same-sex marriage, tweeted:

“To my friends in the LGBTQ+ community—the Supreme Court is coming for us next. This moment has to be a call to arms. We will not surrender our rights without a fight—a fight to victory!”

However, Conservatives slammed Lightfoot’s wording amid the ongoing violence.

The tweets came following a weekend of attacks on churches and pro-life organizations, as well as coordinated mobs of Democrat activists storming conservative justices’ and their families’ homes.

In addition to spreading blatant disinformation with the goal of undermining SCOTUS, Lightfoot also explicitly called for political violence against U.S. institutions, something she previously denounced.

Security has been installed around the besieged Supreme Court, including high-grade and unscalable fencing, in response to a rise in calls for violence. The Senate also decided on Monday to strengthen protections for threatened Supreme Court justices and their families.

Lightfoot faced backlash for issuing a “call to arms” warning that the Supreme Court will take action against LGBTQ people.

Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert of Colorado’s third congressional district called Lightfoot an “insurrectionist” in response to her “call to arms” tweet.

Many Democrats have made such warnings, including Lightfoot. In 2020, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer appeared on the Supreme Court steps and personally threatened Justices Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh if they would not give rulings on abortion that aligned with his beliefs.

Lightfoot was one of many Democrats who blamed the disturbance at the US Embassy on former President Donald Trump. Capitol on January 6, 202, and alleged that his statements “incited this violence.”

Twitter banned Trump for language it claimed posed a “risk of further incitement of violence,” but Lightfoot’s Supreme Court tweet that explicitly demands a “call to arms” and a “fight” remains untouched by the Big Tech censors. Democrats in Congress also tried to impeach Trump for telling his supporters to “fight like hell,” but so far, Lightfoot’s incendiary tweet remains uncondemned by her own party.
