For over thirty years, Julia Ann, a prominent adult film star, has had her fair share of on-screen experiences with men. However, after entering the industry in 1992 and becoming one of the most recorded stars in the world of adult entertainment, Julia Ann recently revealed that she now exclusively films scenes with women or by herself, a decision influenced by an agreement with a man outside the industry.
At 53 years old, Julia Ann has chosen not to share the screen with any men other than her husband. However, she explained during an appearance on the Holly Randall Unfiltered Podcast that her decision was not based solely on her marriage vows. The adult film star shared that menopause had caused some personal changes, leading her to prefer filming scenes with women rather than men, despite still enjoying intimate moments with her husband.
Julia Ann admitted to disliking the gym and revealed that it is easier for her to control her appearance on camera when engaging in scenes with women, making her job in front of the camera more manageable. She explained, “When I have sex with a girl, I can position myself. I can work it a certain way. I can be a little bit more ‘oh, how are you doing today?'”
Now in her fifties, Julia Ann concedes she feels more insecure due to her skin showing signs of aging. However, she refuses to let a number dictate her ability to perform in the adult film industry.
Holly Randall, the podcast host, expressed her understanding and agreement with Julia Ann’s decision to exclusively film scenes with women within the industry, reserving heterosexual encounters for her husband.
The two discussed how male adult film actors tend to maneuver their female partners into desired positions before engaging in aggressive scenes. This was acceptable when they were younger, but after experiencing menopause and losing some flexibility, the two agreed that intimate scenes with women who understand and relate to them are preferable.
Julia Ann further elaborated, “Yeah, and after menopause, your body moves separate from itself.” The conversation between the two women highlights a unique perspective on the experiences of women in the adult film industry as they navigate the challenges of aging and personal preferences.
