A video captured three customers trashing a New York restaurant and attacking its employees because of a $1.75 fee for extra sauce has gone viral on social media.
The clip initially shared on TikTok, shows three women throwing a metal stool, glass bottles, and anything in arm’s reach at the restaurant employees. It also shows two of the women climbing over the counter and launching bottles of sauce from a close range. At one point, one of the women even dances on the counter, while the other two continue to destroy the restaurant.
The 3 suspects were later identified: Pearl Ozoria, 27, of Manhattan, Chitara Plasencia, 25, and Tatiyanna Johnson, 23, both of Brooklyn. The employee tried to refund their money and asked them to leave, but they refused.
That’s when they started throwing things around the restaurant, knocking over chairs and tables, and smashing glasses. They even ripped the cash register off the counter before finally leaving.
According to the Independent, the incident took place on July 4 at Bel Fries in Manhattan’s Lower East Side. The three women have been arrested and charged with robbery and criminal mischief.
Chef Rafael Nunez of the restaurant said that the three customers wanted extra sauce for the fries, however, when the employee explained that it costs $1.75, they got upset. “And that’s where it all started,” Nunez added.
One of the criminals twerked as her sisters in destruction went to work destroying Bel Fries’ front desk. A worker recorded the maniacs throwing objects at the useless spit guard that was actually useful in this event as it prevented the flying objects from being launched into the workers — that is until the criminals tore down the spit glass.
Police were called to the scene. The restaurant owner estimates that the damage caused by the women was around $10,000 to $20,000.
The violence resulted in injuries, and the store has remained closed since the incident. Two employees at the Manhattan restaurant suffered head lacerations because of the attack.
The restaurant’s co-owner said that his six employees are so traumatized that they do not want to return to work. “They’re devastated. They’re afraid. One of them still doesn’t want to leave her home. She has a son. She fears for her life,” the co-owner stated.
These three twerking criminals weren’t being jerked around by the staff at all. In typical 2022 fashion, they just assumed this was a Chick-fil-A and they could have as many sauces as they’d like.
