2021 was indeed one of the most devastating years in our history, many lost their lives as we continue to fight COVID-19 – from ordinary to well-known Americans, no one is exempted.
We pick a few of the celebrities who made exemplary works while they are still alive and continue to inspire us each and every day.
1. Betty White
First on the list, is one of the biggest legends in Hollywood, Betty White have passed away peacefully in her home on December 31, 2021, around 9:30 AM.
She was so great that even the Guinness Book of World Records has certified her as the longest female entertainment career ever.
Jeff Witjas, Betty’s agent and a close friend have confirmed her death.
She said, “Even though Betty was about to be 100, I thought she would live forever…I will miss her terribly and so will the animal world that she loved so much. I don’t think Betty ever feared passing because she always wanted to be with her most beloved husband Allen Ludden. She believed she would be with him again.”
2. Jeff LaBar
The next celebrity on the list is Jeff LaBar, longtime guitarist for the glam metal band Cinderella have passed away from his home in Nashville on July 11, 2021, he was 58 and his family chose not to disclose the cause of death.
His son Sebastian wrote via Instagram:
“My father, my hero, my idol, passed away today. I’m currently at a loss for words. I love you pop!. If you could, please share pictures or videos of all the fun times we all had with my dad. It would be greatly appreciated.”
3. Stuart Damon
He was best known for his role as Dr. Alan Quartermaine at General Hospital.
He lost his life from renal failure that he had been suffering for several years, he passed away at the age of 84.
Christopher Damon, son of Stuart has said in a statement, “He loved playing Alan and was always so appreciative of that role and that job. It was his passion.”
4. Ed Asner
Next on the list is the actor who played the voiceover of our favorite movie cartoon, Carl Fredrickson in the Pixar film Up.
Ed Asner at the age of 91, suddenly passed away in August of 2021. He also portrayed on both the comedic Mary Tyler Moore Show and the dramatic Lou Grant and earned an Emmy award on both.
5. Sean Lock
Next up, is an English comedian Sean Lock have lost his life after battling lung cancer and died on August 16, 2021.
He was best known for his standup work and long run as a panelist on the long-running BBC series 8 Out of 10 Cats and 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown.
6. Black Rob
Next on the list is the rapper from Harlem.
Black Rob has died due to a cardiac arrest on April 17, 2021, at the age of 51. Long before he died, he had been hospitalized for multiple health issues.
He was best known for his 2000’s hit “Whoa”.
7. Paul Ritter
Lastly, Paul Ritter has lost his life after battling a brain tumor at the age of 54.
His agent confirmed his death, “peacefully at home with his wife Polly and sons Frank and Noah by his side.”
He played Eldred Worple in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince or as Guy Haines in the 2008 James Bond movie Quantum of Solace.
