A pedophile Nebraska mom was convicted for sexually abusing daughter’s friends, all juveniles, in alcohol-fueled sleepovers at her home in Omaha.
Christina Greer, 38, was sentenced to between 64 and 102 years in prison for sexually abusing two boys who were friends of her 11-year-old daughter during sleepovers at her home. The assaults happened during sleepovers with her daughter at her home near Omaha, in 2017 and 2018.
Greer lured the 12 and 13-year-old boys with alcohol and weed edibles before sexually assaulting them. Police initially arrested Greer after a report was made that she was having sex with one of the boys from September 2017 to December 2017.
Another boy came forward in January 2019 with similar allegations, and that August, a child enticement charge was added to Greer’s list of charges.
A Sarpy County jury found Greer guilty of three counts of first-degree sexual assault of a child, six counts of felony child abuse, and two counts of witness tampering. Now, she will need to face her prison sentence that ensures she will be behind bars until she is in her nineties.
“Having sex with an adult female is thought of, ‘That’s the cool kid of the group,’” said Sarpy County Deputy Attorney Phil Kleine. “It’s just not the case in these situations. They’ve been bullied, transferred schools multiple times. It’s just unfortunate they have to continue to deal with it.”
During her sentencing hearing on Monday, Greer put on the waterworks and cried because she was “so ashamed and sorry” for what she did to the little boys.
Greer also confessed that she “failed” at her motherly duties because she did not protect the children – but instead hurt them with her acts of sexual abuse.
“Now our victims are 15, 16 years old,” Kleine said. “One of them just got a driver’s license. Now they’re going to have to deal with this rest of their lives. Any relationship will have trust issues due to what she did to them.”
The children were reportedly told not to tell anyone about the sexual encounters and to remove evidence from their phones. One of the boy’s phones had sexual photos of Greer. Greer’s daughter also confessed that she caught her mother and a boy kissing in one of the rooms.
The jury found Greer guilty after just three hours of deliberation.
“We’re immensely pleased,” Kleine said. “It’s been three years, a harrowing experience for the families, for the victims. It’s been a roller coaster of emotions. Just immensely proud of the victims, in this case, to be able to stay on course and still testify.”
