It’s no surprise that under Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, illegal immigration has spiraled out of control. Since they took office, our borders have been overwhelmed by millions of illegal aliens, flooding into the country without any serious efforts from this administration to stop it. In fact, at times it seems like they’re encouraging it. And now, an official in their Department of Homeland Security has been caught doing just that.
A high-ranking DHS official has been caught using platforms like YouTube and TikTok to openly promote illegal immigration into the U.S., even offering advice to border crossers. This official, Wilson Osorio, is listed as an associate counsel with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). Since being exposed, Osorio has scrubbed his LinkedIn and made his social media accounts private, but not before the damage was done.
According to Fox News, “Osorio uses his TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram channels to post video content, mostly of conversations with illegal immigrants, where he asks them to share how much money they make, how they came to the U.S., and how great it is to enter the country illegally.” He’s posted dozens of these videos since July, including one featuring an illegal immigrant who now owns a restaurant with over $1 million in sales. His message? The American Dream is alive and well for those who break our laws.
In another video, Osorio showcases an illegal alien earning $1,000 a week selling fruit. He even goes as far as giving tips for migrants crossing the border, warning them about the dangers of smugglers and the harsh desert conditions. Another video claims a woman who crossed illegally now has legal papers for herself and her three daughters after just three years in the U.S.
Meanwhile, millions of hardworking Americans are struggling just to make ends meet. Yet Osorio is busy promoting how much money illegal immigrants can make in various industries, like construction, while collecting a taxpayer-funded paycheck himself.
Thomas Jones, President of the American Accountability Foundation, summed it up perfectly: “Wilson Osorio personifies the plague of unelected radical leftist bureaucrats turning this country upside down. Even as he collects his taxpayer-funded salary, Osorio pushes his radical open borders agenda that is endangering the safety, stability, and livelihoods of millions of Americans. It is an utter betrayal of the American people. He must be fired immediately.”
Sadly, none of this is surprising. Many Americans have long felt that the Biden-Harris administration is prioritizing illegal aliens over its own citizens. With their disastrous policies, they’ve alienated millions of real Americans and are now relying on the votes of illegal immigrants to stay in power. This explains why Democrats have gone after voter ID laws, trying to make it easier than ever for illegal immigrants to vote.
As we approach the next presidential election, this issue highlights just how high the stakes really are. If Kamala Harris wins, this kind of absurdity within DHS will continue. But if Donald Trump prevails, he’s promised to crack down hard on illegal immigration and put America back on track.
