Is old Nancy now a new Drag Race queen?
Well, Octogenarian Democrat House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is slated to appear in a drag show hosted by RuPaul. The show, titled ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race All-Stars’, is scheduled to premiere on May 20th.
The Hill reported Friday that Pelosi appeared in a commercial for the show for only a few seconds where she is seen asking “Can I get an amen?” which is one of the host’s iconic lines.
Perhaps more amazing than the fact that Pelosi is appearing in this event at all is the fact that this isn’t the first time she’s done it.
Readers might recall that Pelosi pulled a similar stunt in 2018, around the time then-president Donald Trump was considering barring individuals suffering from gender dysphoria from serving and preventing taxpayers from paying for so-called affirmative surgeries. That particular law went into effect in 2019 but was reversed by Trump’s successor in 2021.
Pelosi told The Hollywood Reporter after her first appearance:
“This idea of people believing in themselves, being themselves, taking pride in themselves, is not just a lesson for politicians but for everyone in the country. And that’s why I was so excited and couldn’t resist being on the show.”

Pelosi reportedly told the drag queens on the show:
“You’re an inspiration ― I hope you know ― because you really know your power. about taking pride. And that’s what you do ― take pride in yourselves.”
The 82-year-old House speaker also tweeted about her cameo on the show in 2018, writing:
“All I can say is, you betta werk! Had a fabulous time with @RuPaul and good luck to all the queens.”

How much of a role Pelosi plays in this season is left unsaid, but it is worth asking why she has any role at all. She is unable to speak, she is uninteresting, and she has never advanced the causes of anyone until they become politically viable.
Does anyone think Pelosi represents them, cares about them, or even knows about them? Well, people keep voting for her and people will watch this show, so that about sums up what the conservative movement is up against.
