Former supermodel Paulina Porizkova knew precisely how to answer the haters to make it obvious that she loves her physique and the way she looks despite any criticism she may get from trolls online. As she, unfortunately, came under assault from an online troll who called her “old and ugly,” when the 57-year-old model recently shared a throwback photo featuring herself in a bikini along with an image of herself today.
During the height of her career, supermodel Paulina Porizkova was considered one of the most beautiful women in the world.
The supermodel was seen wearing a string bikini in the vintage image. She wanted to publish the photo as an attempt to fight “ageist shaming” that is pervasive over the internet in 2022, so she accompanied it with a message about how she and other women become “more beautiful with age.”
With her hair blowing in the wind, she’s depicted in the middle of a laugh, this sexy picture of Porizkova was snapped while she was spending time in Costa Rica in Central America last year, the former supermodel shared a comment from the troll that said her looks “fell from a great height,” on the side of the photo, “You must be in so much pain to keep posting bikini pictures at your age.”
“I’ve always thought that getting old and ugly is hardest on the pretty people. The fall from grace is so much farther when you were beautiful,” the hateful troll wrote as a message to the blonde bombshell supermodel. “Ugly people were always ugly so getting old and ugly isn’t a change. In summary, I feel your pain. I pray you can come to terms with your mortality. We all get old and ugly… You just had to fall from a greater height than the rest of us. Tears times infinity!”
Despite how the person felt that “a woman of fifty-seven is ‘too old to pose in a bikini no matter what she looks like, because ‘old’ is ‘ugly,” the supermodel refused to let the hater knock her down a peg.
“I get comments like these every time I post a photo of my body. This is the ageist shaming that sets my teeth on edge. Older men are distinguished. Older women are ugly,” she added.
To those people who believe that “people who believe prettiness equals beauty do not understand beauty,” Porizkova who recently worked as a judge for America’s Next Top Model had more to say about her troll, she said:
“We get more beautiful with age. We have earned our beauty, we understand what it is, and we can see it so much better. There is no such thing as ugly and old. Only shortsighted and ignorant, I’m not posting this because I feel bad and need sympathy- quite on the contrary! I’m posting this because this is a pervasive sentiment that needs to be done away with. So we can be proud of aging, as we deserve to be!”
