Mediaite, a left-leaning news organization, has put out a list of potential replacements for Carlson’s coveted 8 PM time slot. Fox News is still considering its options, but if they decide to move its primetime hosts around, it could choose from Jesse Watters, Sean Hannity, or Laura Ingraham. However, if they decide to bring in a fresh face, Mediaite suggests that Greg Gutfeld, Tulsi Gabbard, Kayleigh McEnany, Brian Kilmeade, Pete Hegseth, or Jesse Watters could be good choices.
It is clear that the left-wing media is rejoicing over Carlson’s departure, but what led to this move? Some believe it was due to the numerous lawsuits Fox News is facing in connection with the 2020 election. Bill O’Reilly, a former Fox News host, believes this is the case. During an interview with Chris Cuomo, O’Reilly argued that Carlson was fired because the network is facing a slew of lawsuits related to the 2020 election.
Fox News recently settled a lawsuit with Dominion and agreed to pay out a whopping $787 million. They also have an ongoing lawsuit filed by former Fox News booker Abby Grossberg.
As for who made the final decision to fire Carlson, reports reveal that Lachlan Murdoch, the chief executive of Fox Corporation, and Suzanne Scott, chief executive of Fox News Media, decided on Friday night to fire Carlson. Then, Scott informed Carlson on Monday morning of the decision.

There is much speculation about why Carlson was let go, but one theory is that the Murdoch family is planning on selling the network. Carlson reportedly believes this to be the case, although Scott refused to give him any explanation for his termination. According to the report, Carlson believes his controversial show is being taken off the air because the Murdoch children intend to sell Fox News at some point.
The liberal media has been itching to see Carlson go for some time now. He was a thorn in their side, using his platform to bring attention to the issues that the left-wing media tried to sweep under the rug. He stood up for conservative values, something that is sorely lacking in today’s political climate. The fact that he was fired without warning or explanation is a clear indication that the left is determined to silence any voices that do not align with their own.
