Taxpayers Forced To Fund A Drag Queen Camp For Small Children…..

Uncategorized

Taxpayer funds are being used to support a drag queen summer camp for children as young as seven at the Carousel Theatre in Vancouver, Canada. The theater, which has received $280,849 in taxpayer funding since 2018, offers a ‘junior’ drag camp for children aged 7 to 11, and a ‘teen’ camp for those aged 12 to 17.

The Carousel Theatre claims that drag is for everyone, including children, by stating in its promotional material: “Join some of Vancouver’s most amazing drag artists and learn how drag can brighten up your life! You might be wondering, is drag for kids? Drag is for everyone!” They further argue that dressing for work is a form of ‘drag,’ asking parents to consider the difference between their attire at home and at work.

Drag events targeting children have become a contentious issue in both Canada and the United States, particularly as more videos surface online showing adult biological men in drag engaging in inappropriate behavior with young children.

In response to these concerns, Tennessee became the first U.S. state to take action against drag events for children. Governor Bill Lee signed legislation in March that bans drag queen events near schools and on public property. Some have speculated that the recent Covenant School shooting, committed by a disturbed ‘trans’ biological female, was retaliation for the bill.

Although many supporters of drag events for children applaud such shows, some drag queens have voiced their opposition. Kitty Demure, a member of the organization Gays Against Groomers, criticized parents who bring their young children to these events earlier this month.

The use of taxpayer money to finance a drag queen summer camp for children raises questions about the appropriateness of such events for young audiences and the responsibility of public institutions in promoting them. As the controversy around drag events for children continues to grow, it is essential to consider the impact on the children involved and the potential consequences for their wellbeing.
