Well, just look at the state of New York to see what red flag laws have caused there…
A new law that requires New Yorkers applying for gun licenses to provide their social media account handles has just been signed by Democrat Kathy Hochul as governor of New York.
New York State New Gun Laws Include, People applying for a gun license will have to turn over a list of their social media accounts for officials to verify their “character & conduct”https://t.co/saFvPvnNQk

Hochul called it a special legislative session. The unconstitutional licensing schemes that certain legislatures devised to bar law-abiding persons from exercising their right to self-defense were completely destroyed by Bruen. The objective of the special session was to create further obstacles that would slow down New Yorkers’ ability to carry weapons.
Once the information about your social media accounts has been sent to the police, they will investigate to see whether anything you posted might raise suspicions.
The main issue with this new regulation is that Democratic authorities will probably be the ones to determine what constitutes a red flag post (a dangerous post) and what does not.
Here’s what Fox News reported:
The new law will require people trying to purchase a handgun license to hand over a list of social media accounts they have maintained over the last three years, so officials can verify their “character and conduct.”
According to the measure, applicants must prove they have “the essential character, temperament and judgment necessary to be entrusted with a weapon and to use it only in a manner that does not endanger oneself and others.”
“Sometimes, they’re telegraphing their intent to cause harm to others,” Hochul said at a news conference.
This is absurd and directly contradicts the 2nd amendment. The demand for social media account information and evaluation of posts on those accounts is plainly illegal!
