A married sex-obsessed school teacher in the UK has been jailed for having wild sex encounters sex a 15-year-old student.
35-year-old Kandice Barber of Wendover, Buckinghamshire, was found guilty of causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, including sending a video to the lad showing her performing a solo act surrounded by sex toys.
Barber was sentenced to six years and two months in prison after being found guilty of having sex with the teen in a field and sending him explicit topless pictures on Snapchat. The 35-year-old was sentenced at Aylesbury Crown Court, where Judge Bal Dhaliwal said, “You also sent images, including a topless image of yourself, and a live video in which you were masturbating. All of these acts are tantamount to you grooming him and pulling him in, and with significant planning on your part.”
In January, Barber was convicted of one count of causing/inciting a child to engage in sexual activity after a retrial at Amersham Law Courts in England. During the trial, jurors were told how the chat between her and the student started three years ago.
The teacher began sending the student text messages after taking his phone number at a school sports day prize-giving event. In no time, the communication turned “sexual” and she later drove over to the victim’s house and asked him to get into her car before driving to a field, where they had sex.
The exchange of sleazy messages did not stop even in class. One such message read, “You cannot make me blush when I am teaching now, poker face.” Another student of the school even claimed that he saw a message from Barber to the victim asking, “Do you prefer boobs or bum?” The court was also told how the woman had a secret collection of sexy photographs on her phone, which she stored in a file called “for my eyes only”.
However, Barber’s ex-husband Daniel has supported his wife, saying to the court their marriage is as “strong” as ever. He even claimed that the conviction of the woman has not affected him. Also, the teacher’s former partner called her a “wonderful girl” and a “great mother”. But he said that the reason behind their separation was Barber’s insatiable sex demands. He claimed: “When it came to sex, she was just incredibly frisky and that’s what got her into all this trouble.”
The ex whose name has not been revealed added, “she liked doing it outside, sometimes in the car, the garden or in woods. We’d be driving somewhere, and she’d say, ‘pull over, I’m feeling horny.’ It just got too much for me. Everyone has got their personal needs and that sort of stuff got her excited but by the end of it I couldn’t be bothered, I’d just had enough. It was too excessive.”
Barber was also given a 16-month prison sentence for causing a child under 16 to watch sexual activity by a person in breach of trust and a further 10-month sentence for sexual communication. She has to serve both these sentences along with her main sentencing.
She has been ordered to provide her personal details and address for the rest of her life to the police. She won’t be able to work with kids and vulnerable adults in the future, and is subject to a lifelong sexual harm prevention order.
