With Election Day right around the corner, the race between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris is neck and neck.
For months now, Democrats and their allies in the mainstream media have painted Harris as a clear frontrunner, confident that she’s unbeatable. But that narrative is starting to unravel, and it’s clear that Trump has a solid shot at winning this election.
Even CNN can’t hide it anymore. Poll analyst Harry Enten recently delivered some eye-opening insights that could be sending Democrats into full-on panic mode.
From The Blaze:
“What do we know about independents, right? The center of the electorate. You go last time around, Joe Biden won these voters by 11 points,” Enten said. “Look at September of 2024—just last month—Kamala Harris was up by five points among independents. Now, she’s only up by two points among this key voting bloc. That’s nine points lower than where Biden ended up in 2020.”
Enten pointed to critical states like Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin—the “blue wall” Biden won in 2020, noting, “Joe Biden won them by five points over Trump. Now, Trump’s up by a point. It’s close, within any margin of error, sure, but that trend, that shift toward Trump, is exactly what he wants to see.”
Trump is performing far better among independents than he did in 2020. While Harris barely leads independents nationally, Trump is inching ahead in those pivotal battleground states.
What’s clear is that independent voters aren’t buying Harris’s constant attacks on Trump as her main pitch. They want specifics. They want solutions to the problems that have been piling up under Biden and Harris: a floundering economy, runaway inflation, and unchecked immigration. Meanwhile, American families are facing real challenges just to make ends meet.
Harris has leaned heavily on her promise to bring “change.” But she’s had four years as vice president to do just that, and those promises remain unfulfilled. Perhaps independents are starting to see that electing Harris would mean more of the same.
America can’t afford another four years of the status quo. If we want real change, Trump is looking more like the only option, and it seems independent voters are finally beginning to see that.
