AOC Just Got Her Progress Report And Boy Is IT BAD!

One of the least effective members of congress in the 116th body submitted a total of 21 bills which the center defined as “substantive” — but that is where the story ends. Her legislation received no action in committees, no floor votes, and none ever became law, according to the center, which takes its data from Congress.gov.

According to a joint study conducted by UVA and Vanderbilt under the Center for Effective Lawmaking, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was one of the least effective members of congress and very outspoken member of Congress who shares her thoughts on everything.

“NEW UVA/VANDERBILT STUDY: Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is one of the least effective members of Congress She has introduced a total of 21 bills but her legislation has received no action in committees, no floor votes, and none have ever became law”, Breaking911 tweeted.

According to New York Post, “She introduced a lot of bills, but she was not successful at having them receive any sort of action in committee or beyond committee and if they can’t get through committee they cannot pass the House. It’s clear that she was trying to get her legislative agenda moving and engage with the lawmaking process, but she wasn’t as successful as some other members were even among [other] freshmen at getting people to pay attention to her legislation.” Alan Wiseman, a Vanderbilt political scientist and co-director of the center said.

Participating in a sit-in protest at Nancy Pelosi’s office with a group of millennials was Alexandria’s marked her first day in Congress. She was quoted as saying, “I don’t want to see my own district under water and I know that Leader Pelosi doesn’t either and I know that what we need to show her is we’re here to back her up in pushing for 100% renewable energy, this is to show that we are here to back up bold action and that, you know she will be supported in that.” This approach seems to have hurt her with other members of the House.

AOC’s twitter pinned a video captioned, “Last January I was sworn in for my first term in Congress. So, what have we accomplished since then? Let’s take 2(ish) minutes to review.”

The video highlights her activism as that is what she does she pressures business and public figures to push her radical ideas as she did on her first day in Congress. With her winning re-election, we will see if AOC becomes a more effective legislature or not.
