We can only imagine the strange and amazing things delivery drivers must encounter while making their rounds.

After all, by visiting a variety of households each day, you are not only carrying out your duties but also having the chance to observe life in its most unadulterated state.

Nevertheless, there are some situations that even the most experienced drivers cannot anticipate. Just ask the man who freed an imprisoned woman from her own house.

One UPS driver might have wondered if he was the target of an outrageous silly prank as he approached his scheduled pick-up location in Robertsville, Missouri. He was welcomed by a woman who appeared to be normal enough when he arrived. They greeted each other, she handed him a package to take, and then she shut the door. That might have been the end of it, had he not noticed that written on the side of the parcel was a warning: “Call 911”

James Jordan was holding his toddler son and wife captive in their home near Robertsville, Missouri.

It seems that a 33-year-old man from Missouri named James Jordan had been abusing his wife and 3-year-old son. Jordan made life a living hell for his family. But thanks to an observant UPS delivery man, Jordan won’t be going scot-free and is nominated for the “Worst Father of the Year Award.”

Reports said that Jordan locked his 3-year-old son in a room without food or water for 15 hours while he reportedly physically and sexually assaulted his wife.

We can only speculate as to how much of the abuse the young kid heard while being held against his will in their home near Robertsville while he held his wife captive and tortured her.

The wife, according to KMOV, was imprisoned in her own house. She was prohibited from leaving the house. She was smacked, punched, made to strip naked, and sexually raped by her husband while her son was in a separate room. Her husband brutally beat her while seizing her phone.

She apparently made many attempts to escape his grasp, but each one failed. He grabbed her, dragged her inside the house by her hair, and then pointed a revolver at her head. Prior to taking his own life, he made a threat to kill her. She got more and more determined to survive and flee. She thought about different methods to escape effectively and came up with a plan that depended on how perceptive someone else was. For her and her son to be saved, only one person had to be concentrated on the task.

Fortunately, an observant UPS delivery man appeared at her doorstep.

The driver arrived at their home to pick up a package. On the package, she scribbled the words “contact 911.” Her husband allegedly pointed a gun at her from behind as she walked to the UPS person.

She handed the parcel to the delivery man while making it appear as though everything was alright to avoid arousing her husband’s concerns. All she could do after he went was wait.

The delivery man saw the plea and did not dismiss it. He did just as it said. He contacted the police, and a SWAT team responded to the call.

James Jordan

James Jordan was taken into custody and now faces charges of “domestic assault, felonious restraint, sodomy, unlawful use of a weapon, and endangering the welfare of a child,” and held on a $100,000 bond.

Franklin County Sheriff’s Department Sergeant T.J. Wild said, “He made a huge difference.”

In addition to complimenting their driver, UPS noted in a statement that this was more than just making a call, thus the praise is justified. It dealt with being conscious of your surroundings.

“We are grateful this UPS driver with more than a decade of service followed protocol when he saw a customer in distress and contacted authorities after he saw her message to contact 911,” the UPS said.

Life can be challenging, and everyone is frequently preoccupied with their own concerns or interests, making it simple to ignore an urgent cry for assistance.

Inform those who can assist if you are powerless to change the situation. Be the first to call for assistance if more than one person is needed.

Additionally, people who desire to escape any circumstance should keep this in mind. If you are unable to talk, write it down. Place it where someone with keen eyes will notice it.
