Still astounded by how stupid these companies and organizations are for continuing to go “woke” and piss off the vast majority of their customers, Every time we wrote one of these stories.
As if they’re all bumbling idiots who can’t see that this never works for the hundreds of companies that try it.
They could just ask Coca-Cola how things are going since they became “woke” and intervened in the US election.
That dumb move, they’re still reeling.
There’s also the NBA, NFL, MLB, and Hollywood…
It ends up backing down a few days later after all the response comes flooding in. The list of these foolish companies that take a political stance goes on and on.
Well, this happens all the time, so you’d think they’d figure it out by now?
Wrong…
Another foolish company that has gone woke, and this one is really a doozy.
Country Music Television or “CMT” is now campaigning against nearly all of their fans by advocating for “gun control” of all things.
What the hell is going on here?
This did not sit well with their fan base, as you may imagine and CMT is now facing what we like to refer to as “instant karma.”
There’s a lot of it.
According to the Daily Wire, CMT viewers are blasting the firm and threatening to boycott its forthcoming awards presentation, after it urged viewers to “dress orange” in support of a gun control campaign.
last week the CMT or “Country Music Television” tweeted, “We’re (virtually) wearing orange today in support National Gun Violence Awareness Day and to call attention to the more than 100 lives that are lost every day to gun violence. #WearOrange and visit wearorange.org for more.”

A poll of the first 100 direct responses on the channel’s page revealed that the vast majority of people were upset with the message. Only four people out of a hundred were encouraging (i.e., “Good for you!”). They only had one-shot guns when they wrote the second amendment. I don’t believe they ever dreamed that military weaponry could be bought! Background checks and a waiting period are all things that are urgently needed when it comes to guns. Those who oppose gun regulation are idiots! One who is undecided (“Data?”), and 95 who disagree.
That’s 95 out of 100 people who don’t like CMT’s “Wear Orange” campaign. Fans attacked CMT for promoting the Wear Orange campaign, accusing it of omitting critical context on gun violence and threatening to boycott the CMT Music Awards, which will air on Wednesday and will be hosted this year by Kane Brown and Kelsea Ballerini.
“This is @CMT trying to attract listeners they don’t have at risk of alienating the listeners they do have. How’d that work out for the Dixie Chicks?” one commenter said.
Another user pointed out: “That stat includes suicides, which comprise well over half of the total. It’s disingenuous to omit that fact.”
Another wrote: “Well, looks like CMT is off the channel selection for my TVs. Good luck catering country songs to the woke, and may your profits be null!”
Another said: “I find it amusing that you think I give a damn what you think I should and shouldn’t do with tools I use to defend me and mine.”
Another commenter wrote: “I no longer support CMT. Good riddance to another woke support group, out of touch with their audience.”
I’m at a loss for words as to what these individuals are thinking.
Who in their marketing department thought it would be a good idea to do THIS of all things?
All of them should be fired.
Isn’t it true that you have no idea who your fan base is?
CMT is deserving of all the criticism and lost fans that are coming to them. This is as stupid as a company like Whole Foods running an NRA-supporting campaign. It’s is just extremely foolish.

Universal Background Checks – Great Idea! How can we do that without the government being involved and establishing a database of everyone who owns guns and where they live? Besides, I believe your data is false and your claim of “100 deaths per day” is a lie. Now the real deal, you are an entertainment media outlet. WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE TO TELL ALL OF US HOW TO LIVE OUR LIVES? CMT? Done with you!
