Following the death of the “Full House” actor Bob Saget who died last month, a judge has temporarily blocked the release of Saget’s death records and photos at the request of his family.
Saget was found dead in his hotel room last month after he admitted that he received a booster shot just a month before he passed away. According to the law enforcer, they see signs pointing to a sudden medical emergency — specifically a heart attack or stroke.
Now, Saget’s family filed a lawsuit requesting the documents of his autopsy should be kept private. Saget’s wife, Kelly Rizzo, and three daughters, Aubrey, Lara, and Jennifer filed the lawsuit Tuesday against Orange County Sheriff John Mina and the District Nine Medical Examiner’s Office.
“Plaintiffs will suffer irreparable harm in the form of extreme mental pain, anguish, and emotional distress if Defendants release the Records in response to public records requests or otherwise disseminate the Records for any other reason or purpose,” the lawsuit stated.

During investigations into Saget’s death, according to the lawsuit, a number of materials including photographs, video recordings, and audio recordings were created, some of which “graphically depicts Mr. Saget, his likeness or features or parts of him.”
The family requested a temporary injunction until the court makes a ruling in the case.
USA Today reported that the statement made by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office regarding the lawsuit “While we are sensitive to the family’s concerns about the right to privacy, that must be balanced with our commitment to transparency, compliance with the law, and the public’s right to know.”
The medical examiner has previously said there was no evidence of drug use or foul play. The Orange County Sheriff’s Office had said the same thing at the time.
