A 36-year-old woman thought she was being open-minded and supportive when she decided to surprise her husband with a threesome for his birthday. However, it seems her husband wasn’t the only one who was surprised…
Theresa Rose of Portland, Oregon — who prefers to go by her middle name Rose — said she was always unhappy in their marriage, though couldn’t figure it out. However, after having a threesome with her Husband and another woman in 2020, she found what she was missing.
Rose says the encounter made her realize how ’emotionally shallow’ her relationship with her husband was compared to her immediate ‘connection’ with the woman.
“I was like, ‘Oh my God, this is what’s been missing.’ After being with that woman, I said to myself, ‘This is why I’ve been so unhappy in my marriage.’ My relationship with my husband, emotionally, felt so shallow and lonely compared to my connection with the woman.”
The husband outed her to their extremely Catholic family, leaving her on the edge of suicide. This prompted her to divorce her husband, and three weeks later.
“Experiencing that intimate interaction with a woman for the first time, the physical and emotional depth was [so intense],”Rose, from Portland, Oregon, told the New York Post during a recent interview.
Rose says she was raised in a very Catholic family and was told from a young age that ‘all homosexuals go to hell.’ She admits that the strict upbringing forced her to hide her feelings for women until she could deny them anymore.

However, Rose’s life was turned back onto a good path in a matter of weeks when she met Jacqui Mettle. They have been together for more than a year already and recently moved from California to Oregon, where they have a house and plans to raise Rose’s two sons – ages six and eight – together.
Rose has been speaking publicly about her lesbian romance adventure on her TikTok account, @Raising2Activists, which has gained more than 100,000 followers.
“It feels so free to finally live authentically,” she said.
