Today, Project Veritas released a new video featuring a sit-down interview with Ivory Hecker, a recently suspended Fox 26 reporter who blew the whistle on her own network for what she claims are acts of fraud. She says that the station’s editorial decisions are an affront to honest journalism.
Ivory Hecker, a Fox 26 reporter, was suspended today after saying live on-air that she was going to Project Veritas to expose what she called “absolute corruption” at the Houston affiliate.
According to Hecker, the station’s activities are an affront to true journalism, and that the station’s administration favors corporate interests over viewer interests.
Hecker’s superiors telling her to put the station’s General Manager and the company’s CEO’s opinions ahead of the audience’s, gladly, Hecker was able to obtain recordings.
Hecker: “What’s happening within Fox Corp is an operation of prioritizing corporate interests above the viewer’s interest and, therefore, operating in a deceptive way.”
She also got audio of Susan Schiller, Fox 26’s Vice President, and News Director, telling Hecker to “stop and desist” posting about Hydroxychloroquine on social media.
Hecker spoke with Dr. Joseph Varon, MD, Chief of Critical Care and COVID-19 Unit at United Memorial Medical Center in Houston, who told her about his experience with Hydroxychloroquine.
Hecker: “The viewers are being deceived by a carefully crafted narrative in some stories.”
Hecker: “There’s a narrative. Yes, it is unspoken. But if you accidentally step outside the narrative, if you don’t sense what that narrative is and go with it, there will be grave consequences for you.”
Hecker: “Fox came at my throat for standing up against censorship.”
Ivory had already been harshly reprimanded by Fox 26 after she made serious allegations against the channel.
Instead of abiding to really objective journalistic standards of integrity, transparency, and fact-checking, they decided to go after an honest whistleblower.
