Nikki Haley was Donald’s Trump former Ambassador to the United Nations, she was known for her skill and expertise that ripping apart progressive narratives seems elegant as well as easy. She always makes liberal heads explode.
Now, Dems should regret having their European counterparts get so far ahead of them on such an important life or death issue.
Dems are now targeting Halley again after Haley dared them to catch up with Europe and even said that Europe’s officials are a lot more “civilized” than here.
Because of legalizing abortion, Americans are being called “mindless barbarians,” for killing little human beings for fun and profit. She said that the United States, she insists, “needs to catch up to a more civilized Europe regarding the restrictions on abortion.”
And just recently, in an op-ed for Real Clear Politics Haley and Marjorie Dannenfelser, of Susan B. Anthony List fame joined hands to write an op-ed letter. “The first inalienable right mentioned in the Declaration of Independence is the right to life,” they argue. Not to Democrats.
America has been doing “a worse job of protecting unborn life than most other countries.” Europe especially, which is supposed to be the model for all progressives. Unless it seems, the continental way of doing things gets in the way of liberal schemes.
“Nearly every European country is outdoing us when it comes to protecting unborn children and their moms.” Haley and Dannenfelser pointed to new research.
You “might be surprised to learn that the extreme, no-limits abortion laws of the United States are virtually unknown in Europe.” Usually, they’re leading the bandwagon on hideous liberal atrocities. Not now. Americans are the ones being atrocious this time, European snobs challenge.
Americans are so cruel and evil, Haley notes, that in some places they allow abortion right up to the child’s birthday.
“Here, abortion is legal at any stage of pregnancy, including when an unborn baby has a heartbeat, can feel pain, and even when he or she can survive outside the womb.”
According to the Charlotte Lozier Institute, Haley reports, a full “47 out of 50 European countries limit elective abortion to 15 weeks or earlier.” For once, the Europeans are the ones with “common sense.”
The op-ed underscores that while “some Washington politicians struggle with answering the basic question, ‘Is a 15-week-old-unborn baby a human being?’ science has steadily revealed the humanity of children in the womb.” You bet it is.
“By six weeks,” Haley writes, they have a heartbeat and a developing brain and spinal cord. By 10 weeks they have arms, legs, fingers, and toes, and they can kick and jump. By 15 weeks, they have fully formed noses, lips, eyelids, and eyebrows – and by that point, if not earlier, they can feel pain. France only allows abortions up to 12 weeks.
“Switzerland and all of Scandinavia” Limit baby killing to “well before the third trimester of pregnancy.” Almost all the rest follow Austria and Italy with “limits at approximately three months.” In Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg, Romania, and Spain they picked 14 weeks for the limit. The important thing is that “Not a single European country allows abortion on demand through all nine months of pregnancy.”
