The White House released a statement Sunday responding to President Donald Trump’s Twitter allegations saying the Obama administration wiretapped Trump Tower prior to the 2016 election.
The statement, released by White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer, says:
“Reports concerning potentially politically motivated investigations immediately ahead of the 2016 election are very troubling.
President Donald J. Trump is requesting that as part of their investigation into Russian activity, the congressional intelligence committees exercise their oversight authority to determine whether executive branch investigative powers were abused in 2016.
Neither the White House nor the President will comment further until such oversight is conducted.”
Following Trump’s early Saturday morning Twitter spree, Obama spokesman Kevin Lewis denied the allegations.
Terrible! Just found out that Obama had my "wires tapped" in Trump Tower just before the victory. Nothing found. This is McCarthyism!

Considering Obama administration monitored phone calls of Jams Rosen and Associated Press I would not put anything past them. They are smooth talking liars who will stop at nothing to win. I sincerely hope that the Congressional Intelligence Committees will broaden their investigation to include wire tapping of the Trump campaign. Also would like to see an end to the leaks. Wondering if Jeff Bezos’, owner of Washington Post, deal with CIA (Cloud) has anything to do with them. It seems the Washington Post gets a lot of leaked information before anyone else.
