On Friday, the FBI opened a domestic violent extremism investigation into recent attacks on pro-life organizations that have come as the Supreme Court is expected to issue a landmark decision on abortion rights.
Well, it takes more than a month of violence and vandalism before the FBI takes action, but at least they do.
Here’s what the FBI said in a statement first reported by Fox News:
“The FBI is investigating a series of attacks and threats targeting pregnancy resource centers and faith-based organizations across the country. The FBI takes all threats seriously and we continue to work closely with our law enforcement partners and will remain vigilant to protect our communities.”
The FBI’s statement comes after Republican lawmakers clamored for immediate action from the Justice Department to prosecute these violent acts as domestic terrorism.
Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) called on Attorney General Merrick Garland to resign Thursday in a letter that blasted the Department of Justice for its perceived inaction after an anarchist terrorist group called Jane’s Revenge claimed responsibility for several attacks against pro-life groups.
In fact, according to the Catholic Vote report, more than 20 pregnancy resource centers and offices of pro-life groups have been attacked or vandalized since the leak of a draft Supreme Court opinion indicating that the justices are likely to overturn Roe v. Wade.
The radical pro-abortion group Jane’s Revenge took credit for the attacks and warned that they would ramp up their actions after 30 days. Not long after the 30 days mark, Jane’s Revenge once more promised an increase in violence.
While, another group, Ruth Sent Us, has also been posting on social media about protesting at the justices’ homes and even where they go to church or their children go to school.
In response to inquiries regarding the alleged Jane’s Revenge “communique,” the FBI said Thursday evening that while it would not comment on specific groups, the bureau is “investigating a series of attacks and threats targeting pregnancy resource centers and faith-based organizations across the country.”
Here’s what the bureau told The Daily Wire:
“The FBI takes all threats seriously and we continue to work closely with our law enforcement partners and will remain vigilant to protect our communities. We would like to remind members of the public that if they observe anything suspicious or have information about potential threats to report it to law enforcement immediately, call their local FBI field office, or submit a tip to tips.fbi.gov.”

The White House did release a statement about the recent attacks, albeit a delayed one. With subsequent crimes, though, Democrats, including at the White House, largely ignored the violence.
