A Vegan Sued A Neighbor For Having A Barbecue, What They Did In Response Is…

Vegans are usually pretty committed to their diet, but one vegan in Perth, Australia, is taking her no-meat stance to the next level: She’s so pissed off that she filed a lawsuit against the family next door, taking them to court for barbecuing meat in their own backyard!

In Western Australia, the vegan Cilla Carden a massage therapist, who resides in Girrawheen in Perth’s north, has been complaining about her neighbor’s barbecues, claiming that the scents are very reminiscent of fish and meat has also voiced her displeasure with reflecting light, cigarette smoke, chairs scratching on pavement, children playing basketball, and pets’ noisy cages, according to The Guardian.

She has been taking legal action for the past two years against her two neighbors as she says she has not been able to live in peace and the ongoing argument has been detrimental to her quality of life. She even claims that the neighbors are doing this on purpose.

Carden said that she’s over her neighbors cooking meat near her home. They’ve put it there so I smell fish, all I can smell is fish. I can’t enjoy my backyard, I can’t go out there,” she said.

The neighborhood, however, decided to organize a special “community” event in her honor after learning about the case.

Not only that, but Carden claims she is also irritated by the fact that her neighbors smoke (the smoke drifts into her yard) and that they have young children who play basketball. “It’s been devastating, it’s been turmoil, it’s been unrest, I haven’t been able to sleep,” she said.

The community eventually became enraged with the vegan activist and resolved to deliver her a clear message once and for all as word of Carden’s senseless lawsuit circulated swiftly as a result of her indiscreet interviews, in which she attacked her neighbors and their children.

In a report by Blue Lives Matter, thousands of people declared their willingness to attend a community BBQ outside of Carden’s house in celebration of the sue-happy vegan. Before the Facebook event was deleted, more than 4,000 people commented that they would assist in setting up a “Community BBQ for Cilla Carden,” which would occur just outside the home of the honoree.

The Facebook page states about the event, Don’t let Cilla destroy a good old Aussie tradition, join us for a community BBQ, and help Cilla Carden GET SOME PORK ON HER FORK.”

As a result, protesters hoped to send a message to the vegan activist that she’d better stop abusing the legal system in an effort to cram her lifestyle choices down the throats of others as the Facebook community slammed Carden for forcing her neighbors to alter their daily lives for fear of being sued.

“THIS IS A PEACEFUL PROTEST, Nobody is permitted to enter Mrs Cardens property. There will be wardens on hand to make sure this does not happen. Instead the front yards of participating neighbours will be available for use, food trucks will be parked in participating neighbours driveways, throughout the street,” the Facebook event page stated.

Sadly, because of her threats, her neighbors now have to constantly wonder if they will annoy Carden and start yet another legal battle, but Carden vows never to stop until she gets her way although she has repeatedly lost her lawsuits and her right to appeal.
