Nancy Pelosi, House Minority Leader, recently thanked one “Dreamer’s” parents for bringing him to America.
“Dreamers” are illegal individuals brought to the United States during their childhood. Our former president, Barack Obama, thought it would be a good idea to provide cover to Dreamers for deportation back to their countries of origin with the protection of DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals). This executive order was passed in 2012.
Recently, the Trump Administration rescinded the DACA order last month and had Congress replace it within just 6 months.
During a town hall meeting with CNN’s Chris Cuomo, Pelosi made the strange remark where she took a question from Adrian Reyna a “Dreamer” as well.
Nancy Pelosi continues to heap praise on Dreamers and their families to block the Trump administration and any republican from taking potential action against illegal immigration.
Reported by ijr:
Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) not only thanked parents of illegal immigrants who brought their children into the country Wednesday, but she said Americans “owe a debt” to them for doing so.
Pelosi’s comments came during a CNN town hall with host Chris Cuomo.
Being the partisan politician she is — yes, they exist on all sides of the political spectrum — the California Democrat didn’t miss the opportunity to take a shot at President Donald Trump’s campaign slogan in the process:
“Our Dreamers, they make America dream again. They’re so lovely and we, frankly, owe a debt to your parents for bringing you here to be such a brilliant part of our future.”
As reported by the Washington Free Beacon, Pelosi’s comments were in response to a question from a “Dreamer,” who was worried about his status.
So-called “Dreamers,” as defined by former President Barack Obama, refer to “Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors.” DACA in an acronym for “Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals.”
