Fox News has finally realized that their station is overrun with liberal talking heads.
In November 2020, their ratings took a nosedive, but apparently, it hasn’t dawned on them until now that maybe it’s time to shed some of their liberal commentators.
Following Juan William’s surprising departure from “The Five,” it’s now being reported that Donna Brazile has quietly left Fox News after being hired by the network in 2019.
The New York Times reported:
Donna Brazile, the former Democratic Party chairwoman, was hired by Fox News with great fanfare in 2019 as a dissenting voice for its political coverage. She criticized Mr Trump and spoke passionately about the Black Lives Matter movement, which other hosts on the network often demonized. Ms Brazile has now left Fox News; last week, she quietly started a new job at ABC.
Onscreen and off, in ways subtle and overt, Fox News has adapted to the post-Trump era by moving in a single direction: Trumpward.
Fox is desperate to get their ratings back on track and frankly, this is the quickest way for them to start recovering.
But not only have they eliminated their far-left commentators, but they’ve also given prime time slots to pro-Trumper’s like Dan Bongino and Trey Gowdy.
According to The Hill report:
Fox News has signed former South Carolina Rep. Trey Gowdy (R) and conservative talk radio show host Dan Bongino for two new weekend shows, the network announced Wednesday.
Gowdy’s show will be produced live and air Sundays at 7 p.m. Eastern starting June 6, the network said. Fox News currently airs repeats of other shows in that slot.
In his yet-untitled show, Gowdy, a former prosecutor and chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, will discuss “the latest legal and political news,” according to the Fox News announcement.
