Spectrum Health will allow exemptions to vaccinations for employees who prove natural immunity to COVID-19.
And this is what we call a REAL commonsense that the Biden administration lacks.
This makes it the first major system in Michigan with this type of exemption.
According to a Detroit News report that Spectrum Health announced they will grant an exemption to employees who:
- Have a ‘positive PCR ‘or ‘antigen test’ for COVID-19
- Plus a ‘positive antibody test’ from within the past three months
The 14-hospital system announced it would require the vaccine on July 28. As part of its mandate, Spectrum is allowing religious exemptions. Medical exemptions have been determined by the clinical, vaccine, and infectious disease experts on the system’s medical exemption committee, consistent with the FDA label and available research to date, Spectrum said. Now, the medical exemption committee is also allowing exemptions for natural immunity to the virus.
“As new research has emerged, the medical exemption committee has recommended allowing a temporary exemption for those who have had a positive PCR or antigen test for COVID-19 from a CLIA-certified lab plus a positive qualitative antibody test within the past three months,” the system said.
“While we still recommend vaccination for people with prior COVID-19 infection, according to this new research, there is increasing evidence that natural infection affords protection from COVID-19 reinfection and severe symptoms for a period of time. Current studies are not clear on how long natural immunity protects from reinfection,” said Spectrum. “Vaccine trials and real-world data have shown that it is safe for previously infected individuals to receive the COVID-19 vaccine; side effects following vaccination were no greater in this group.”
Spectrum Health could update the policy if evidence shows a change in immunity protection.
There are differing assessments of how long natural immunity lasts.

How is it that Dr. Fauci has no clue about natural immunity and COVID?
Sanjay Gupta asked Fauci why Americans who’ve previously been infected should get vaccinated despite studies showing it’s unnecessary. Dr. Fauci gave a shocking nonanswer that was a lame attempt to avoid the question.
Dr. Anthony Fauci said, “I don’t have a really firm answer for you on that.”

Could the answer be that natural immunity doesn’t make any money for the drug companies? It could also be that this is what happens when a scientist becomes a bureaucrat but still pretends to be a scientist decades later.
Gupta’s question was connected and he referred it to a study from Israel about natural immunity from COVID:
