A mother from Virginia who grew up in Mao’s China ripped a liberal school board to a new one. She claimed that the left’s “cultural revolution” and what’s going on in America’s schools are exactly similar to what China has done to its citizens.
She’s not going to submit herself or her children to that kind of oppression and hatred despite that it’s traveling down the exact same path.
According to Fox News, on Tuesday’s public hearing, a Virginia mother who lived through Mao Zedong’s Cultural Revolution before immigrating to the United States slammed a Virginia school board for its steadfast support of the controversial critical race theory.
Xi Van Fleet told the Loudoun County School Board members, “I’ve been very alarmed by what’s going on in our schools. You are now teaching, training our children to be social justice warriors and to loathe our country and our history.”
She compared CRT to China’s Cultural Revolution, a Mao-led crackdown that killed between 500,000 and 20 million people between 1966 and 1976, which detractors call “neo-racism.” Estimates vary widely, and many aspects have been kept hidden for decades.
