Top Democrat Has Just Thrown A Wrench Into Biden’s Works!

On Sunday,  Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va. pushed back against progressive Democrats who call him a “roadblock” to their liberal proposals, as they try to blow up the constitution and bring democracy to its knees as he reiterates that he will not vote to do away with the filibuster.

This will block the vast majority of the radical leftist agenda including gun control. It’s in his self-interest as West Virginia is now a deep red state. That would also have to be the first step in packing the Supreme Court.

Manchin made it clear as he appeared on CNN’s “State of the Union” with Dana Bash that he would not support the elimination of the filibuster because it would cause havoc in the Senate every time the balance of power shifted.

The Democrats will be careful with Manchin because if they push too hard he could switch parties and wipe out their Senate lead.

They don’t dare give up the majority in the Senate.

As reported on Fox News:

“I am not going to be part of blowing up this Senate of ours or basically this democracy of ours or the republic that we have,” Manchin said, referring to the Democratic push to eliminate the filibuster. “If we have a 51-vote threshold in the Senate, the same as the House–the House wasn’t designed to be partisan.”

“The House was designed to be hot as a fire cracker. We were designed to cool it off, and that’s the Founding Fathers. It was a brilliant strategy they looked at, so why can’t we try to make this work?” Manchin continued.

As reported on Red State:

He’d previously written an op-ed against eliminating the filibuster and he’s standing by it, which Fox News quoted from.

“The filibuster is a critical tool to protecting that input and our democratic form of government. That is why I have said it before and will say it again to remove any shred of doubt: There is no circumstance in which I will vote to eliminate or weaken the filibuster,” Manchin wrote. “The time has come to end these political games, and to usher a new era of bipartisanship where we find common ground on the major policy debates facing our nation.”
