Yikes! Joe Biden’s trip to Northern Ireland took an unexpected turn when a top-secret document containing sensitive information about his visit and security detail was found just lying around on the street. Talk about a security blunder! This incident is just another example of the struggles that have been plaguing Biden’s administration, leading to his sinking approval ratings back home.
BBC Radio Ulster reported that some unsuspecting pedestrian stumbled upon the police document, which spilled the beans on where Biden was bunking down in Northern Ireland and even dished out the phone numbers of the Police Service of Northern Ireland officers assigned to his security detail.
Talk about a serious security snafu! The police service fessed up to the breach and said they’d launched an investigation, promising to take the necessary steps to ensure everyone’s safety. That’s reassuring, right?
Despite this embarrassing hiccup, Biden’s trip to Belfast went off without a hitch, and he later jetted off to Dublin. More than 300 officers were on high alert during Biden’s visit to Northern Ireland, where he was commemorating the 25th anniversary of the Good Friday Agreement with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak. The agreement put an end to decades of violence between Catholics and Protestants, but tensions still linger, and some Irish Republican dissidents are stirring the pot with occasional violent outbursts.
Biden’s top-secret itinerary was found in a street in Belfast, Ireland, raising security concerns, according to the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI).

Meanwhile, back in the good ol’ US of A, President Biden’s approval ratings have been taking a nosedive, with most Democratic voters saying they’d rather not see him run for re-election. Fox News reported that his job performance rating is sitting at a 44% approval versus a 56% disapproval. Ouch, not exactly the numbers you want to see as President. It seems like Biden’s not exactly hitting it off with key voting groups, including women, suburban voters, rural voters, and even his fellow Democrats.
The Fox News poll also showed that most voters aren’t too thrilled with how Biden’s been handling major issues, like national security, foreign policy, border security, and the economy. Republican pollster Daron Shaw chimed in, saying, “Biden’s numbers cratered in the fall of 2021 after the Afghanistan withdrawal debacle and the onset of hyperinflation.”
Things don’t seem to be looking up for Biden in other polls, either. The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research poll has his approval rating dropping to a measly 38 percent. That’s dangerously close to the lowest point of his presidency when only 36 percent of people approved of his job performance back in July 2021.
It’s no surprise that the economy is the main pain point for Biden’s administration, with only 25 percent of folks feeling like the national economy is chugging along just fine. Other issues, like national security and healthcare, are also causing headaches for the Biden administration.
While Republicans aren’t exactly known for showering Biden with praise, even Democrats seem to be losing faith in their leader. Sure, 63 percent of Democrats still approve of his handling of the economy, and 76 percent give a thumbs-up to his presidency, but the numbers are slipping for Democrats under the age of 45. It could be that they’re disappointed with Biden’s failure to follow through on his environmental protection promises, like the Willow project in Alaska.
The bottom line is that the security slip-up during Biden’s Northern Ireland trip is just another example of the problems plaguing his administration. With approval ratings in a downward spiral, it’s clear that many Americans are questioning the Democratic Party’s leadership. It’s time to get it together, folks!
