If you didn’t know better, you’d believe the left had just awoken after a year and a half in a coma during which they slept through the entire pandemic.
The COVID-19 virus, as we all know, began in Wuhan, China, and soon spread over the world.
When the virus arrived on our shores, the finger-pointing began to shift away from China and toward Trump, with many on the left blaming him for the COVID-19 deaths rather than the country of origin, China.
It was a calculated political maneuver.
And, as a result of that action, many people forgot that China was linked to COVID, and when Trump referred to it as the “China virus,” many liberals were furious and called the moniker “racist.”

Of course, they’re suddenly singing a new tune and concluding that maybe, just maybe, China was involved.

On Sunday’s This Week, Karl grudgingly admitted that Trump may have been justified in blaming COVID-19 on a lab in Wuhan, China. Because Trump used “racist” terminology in characterizing the virus, he faulted Trump, not journalists, for dismissing the lab as a source.
After host Martha Raddatz proposed it during the roundtable session on This Week, “some people have egg on their face” Karl chastised himself for dismissing the idea that the COVID-19 virus originated in a Chinese laboratory, saying:
“Yes, I think a lot of people have egg on their face. This was an idea that was first put forward by Mike Pompeo, secretary of state, Donald Trump. And look, some things may be true, even if Donald Trump said them. And there was — because Trump was saying so much else that was just out of control, and because he was, you know, making a frankly racist appeal talking about ‘kung-flu’ and the ‘China virus,’ his notion that he put forward that this may have, or that he said flatly that this came from that lab, was widely dismissed. But actually, there’s some real reason — we don’t know, by the way, we still don’t know, we absolutely don’t know, but now, serious people are saying it needs a serious inquiry.”
“Karl acknowledged out loud what everyone already suspected: so many in the Washington press corps had such scorn for President Trump that they discounted whatever he said they could define in their minds as coming from bad motives,” said Media Research Center Vice President Brent Baker. As a result, journalists proudly justified prioritizing their preconceptions. However, this meant that the media failed to fulfill its basic responsibility of informing the public with the most up-to-date knowledge on the origins of a pandemic that has killed 3.5 million people worldwide.”
ABC are far from heroes, but they must now confront the truth of what they and their colleagues have done to our country. They allowed their obsession with one individual to poison their job, turning them into activist savages rather than “reporters” or “journalists,” as everyone in the country can see.
Our media are a bunch of buffoons, and they’re starting to recognize it for the first time in approximately 5 years.
