The Internet is abuzz with speculation…
Hillary Clinton has made only a few public appearances since her historic loss in the 2016 Presidential Election. Recently, she spoke at a retirement ceremony for Senator Harry Reid, where she referenced her unexpected loss at the hands of President-Elect Donald Trump.
“This is not exactly the speech at the Capitol I expected to be giving after the election,” Clinton — dressed in a purple pantsuit — said as she stepped up to the lectern. “After a few selfies taken in the woods, I am thankful to be here.”
People have wondered why Hillary often wears purple these days. Sometimes, even former President Bill Clinton joins the purple party.
In a nation that is divided between red and blue, politically, purple is often seen as a blend or a sign of unity. It is also sometimes associated with the suffrage movement.
There is too much red and blue in this country. We need to come together and create more purple, the color @HillaryClinton wore today.

I love that @HillaryClinton was wearing purple for unity. That, paired with her message showed a whole, whole lot of grace.

That moment when I realized @HillaryClinton was wearing purple because red and blue together make purple. 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

In the Methodist tradition, of which Hillary Clinton comes, purple represents both royalty and penitence. That is why she is wearing it.

In Methodist church “purple represents both royalty and penitence, used during Advent and Lent.” Not an accident HRC and WJC both wearing it

I suppose Hillary wants to be remembered in purple, which brings us to today’s image of her. See anything strange about it?

People can’t stop talking about this rare public appearance from the Purple Pantsuit, because she appears to be dining alone. As the tweet says, the photo was taken at Mohonk Mountain House in upstate New York by a media figure, and yes, Hillary is wearing purple.
Publicity stunt? Lonely rebel warrior and martyr dining alone in purple? I think so.
What do you think?
